Hilton Head 2009

Well we just got back from our annual trip to Hilton Head with the entire Bouslough gang! Man do we have a blast! The kids play hard and the adults enjoy the fellowship! We had a rocky start- Coop threw up the night before we left and I got the "bug" an hour into our 8 hour drive. Praise the Lord that no one else, not even Boz, got it- that was just pure grace!!! One on the beach the boys loved playing with their cousins. Coop wasn't sure about the ocean until he discovered he could skimboard with the boys (his version of course). That was the only way we could even get him to step foot in the ocean. Cole didn't care- he would sit and let the waves hit him and at night he would try to catch the tiny crabs on the beach- we endeared him with the name "Crab Killer" because he would get so excited when he would catch one and accidently squeeze it to death. He loved the chase! We discovered that Cole is definitely PaPa's skin tone and even with 60 spf is just as dark as mom! We truly had so much fun!!! Can't wait to go back!

All the cousins!! Ryan 11, KiKi 13, Abby 14, Jackson 6, Bri 17, Jake 10,

Payton 9, Cole 1 and Coop 3

Almost every night after dinner we would go back out to the beach and play!

Cole wanted to be like the big boys so he would "surf" too. He thought it was great!

Having Fun

I feel like we are finally really enjoying ourselves and having lots of fun! The boys are really starting to interact and play together and I love seeing them love and serve each other (when it happens)! Cooper is really growing to LOVE being a big brother and taking care of Cole!

Happy 1st Birthday Cole

Well I can't believe it- Cole is 1!!!! We had a great time with my parents and Boz's family celebrating. Cole is our BIG eater so he LOVED his smash cake as you can see. I took it away before he could eat the whole thing but he was still up until 9:30pm talking to himself in his crib. He loved all the attention and excitement.

For my kid's first birthday I like to make their cake. This one was huge but actually not too bad to make. After we finished, I figured out that it took me longer to make the cake than birth Cole! Thank goodness for a quick delivery!

Cooper LOVES "Baby Cole" and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Cole's birthday. Since Cole doesn't open presents yet, Coop volunteered to be his helper without hessitation. He kept singing "Happy Birthday" to him all day. In the pic he is giving him a birthday hug.

Fishing Adventure

Boz's brother and his family just bought a new house that has a pond! Needless to say we are all excited! We went fishing with MiMi and PaPa to show them Cooper's fisherman skills. He loves it! At the end we through bread to the fish which was a crazy sight. The sunfish were like little puranas and the catfish like little sharks eating whole pieces of bread! Cole was loving it!

Easter 2009

Easter was great! Cooper practiced for a couple of weeks before the big day Easter egg hunting in our living room. We had so much fun spending time with Kris' family.

Cole's 1st Haircut

As you can see from the picture, Cole has grown a nice mullet. We've been dying to get it cut and today was the day. He did surprisingly well. He loved the comb and just sat and chewed on it while sweet miss debbie cut his hair. Great job Cole!

My Baby is Growing Too Fast!

Our little Cole really cracks us up. He is so sweet and loveable and just laughs at himself and others constantly! We really have so much fun with him and are somewhat sad that he has taken his first steps this week and will be celebrating his 1st birthday in less than a month!

Cooper's 3rd Birthday

Cooper had a birthday extravaganza. Three parties in three days. Needless to say he loved the cake, presents, family and friends. His #1 request was a Steelers football helmet. He had no real understanding but the Steelers did win their 6th Super Bowl on his actual birthday!

Christmas in Texas

We sadly had to return to the cold this week after spending a wonderful time with my family in Texas! We had so much fun as always. We had several surprises: Both sets of my aunts and uncles came to see us and 2 of my cousins with thier beautiful daughters (my cousins I had not seen in at least 5 years!), my parents watched ALL the kids for us and Shelley, Ryan, Boz and I got to go out to dinner for the first time ever!, and then our little Cooper threw up the WHOLE plane ride home! What a surprise that was! Boz was nudging me as I was obviously trying to snooze (he couldn't speak he was in such shock) and pointing to Coop. Needless to say the extra change of clothes I brought only lasted 30 minutes before we needed another set. What misery. My sweet husband cleaned Coop, the poor car seat and his new sweater every time.

We convinced Luke that he needed to wear a Steelers jersey with Coop for the big game on Sun. He looked at me and asked "Are they called the Steelers because they steal everything?". Big fan can you tell?

Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas! Cole loved the wrapping paper and we loved Cooper's excitement. He loved everything and wanted each one to be taken out of the box so we could play with it instantly. The last gift was a bike. We had wrapped it up so when he started taking the paper off and noticed it was a bike he started yelling and jumping up and down "It's a bike, it's a bike!". It was priceless- one of my favorite Christmas memories!!!
